ABOUT DMITRY UCHAKIN
I don’t just work in security operations — I engineer systems that make them scalable. After starting my career hunting APTs, I quickly realized that throwing more human hours at manual alert triage is a losing battle. My focus is turning chaotic, alert-driven SOCs into structured, code-driven ecosystems.Over the past few years, I’ve been architecting automation pipelines that actually survive real production pressure, not just the ones that look good in vendor demos. I build heavily with Python, n8n, and AWS, moving teams toward Detection-as-Code and integrating LLMs to handle the heavy lifting of context gathering. I strongly believe automation should augment analysts, giving them the bandwidth to hunt real threats instead of drowning in repetitive tasks. As you might guess from my profile picture, I’m an open-water swimmer. I’ve found that long-distance swimming perfectly mirrors security engineering: it requires consistency, system-level discipline, and the ability to stay completely calm when the environment gets uncomfortable.Currently based in London (Global Talent Visa). I\'m focusing my R&D on AWS-native security and building Agentic AI workflows for autonomous incident triage.Always happy to talk about automation architecture, detection engineering, or the realities of building reliable SecOps pipelines.
