   The Honorary Commanders Program aims to pair base leadership with community leaders who are committed to learning and supporting the Air Force, its mission, and the team at the 171st Air Refueling Wing and 911th Airlift Wing.As an Honorary Commander, I am committed to fostering a stronger connection between the United States Air Force and local businesses and civic leaders. I\'ll forge connections with military personnel, witness the daily activities of military operations, and gain a deeper understanding of the challenges and triumphs that shape the Air Force\'s mission. Civilian participants are selected from among a diverse cross-section of individuals, including, but not limited to, business and civil leaders and others who, because of their position or influence in the community, can positively impact the men and women of the base and the community at large.
