I am currently seeking graduate level opportunities in public health, conflict resolution, as well as military training opportunities.Based in SoCal, but open to travel for extended lengths of time for both private sector and public sector opportunities. I would eventually like to work with international entities such as the UN in a Search and Rescue capacity.As for my prior experience and interests:I have developed a passion for specialized security work. Starting as a contracted facility security agent at the Oakley headquarters, I eventually worked my way to a supervisor role at the Moda center. Each facility specializes in executive protection, asset protection, as well as emergency protocols for either industrial protection or entertainment-based situations. I have professional references for each position and look forward to applying these skills elsewhere. During my time at community college, I developed a passion for writing and leadership, which I honed and applied at UC Irvine. There, I studied Criminology, Law and Society while working as a member of the campus community in various capacities such as food service, club administration, and journalism. I hope to lean on my academic network as I begin the next steps of my journey. Between each moment of my professional life, I\'ve found extreme personal and professional challenges that inspire me to become better. I\'ve also found some strong and resilient community members who focus on bettering their mistakes by never giving up on themselves and their teams, especially under pressure. Those few guide me through each chapter, and I\'m grateful to have touched shoulders with them. There is no success without struggle, but effective community is much more important than an esoteric goal or aim. I\'ve watched foundations crumble under the weight of emergencies, coordination issues, personal goals, petty rivalry etc. and I\'ve been there each step of the way both failing and succeeding.I hope to help build my career around the needs of my community, whether it be in my neighborhood or across the globe. I also hope to inspire others who have made the same mistakes I have, whether it be professional or unprofessional.    Contracted Facility Security Officer working on behalf of Allied Universal for the Oakley brand headquarters and production facility.Due to the Oakley headquarter\'s multitude of production and administrative functions, security officers are expected to exercise a varied and complex set of security practices. Working swing shift, I help the security team coordinate shift change asset protection practices, such as employee screenings, bag checks, as well as campus monitoring through CCTV software. I assist my team with product audits involving shipping truck inspections, finished goods inspections, and brand protection evaluations for experimental products leaving the facility. Lastly and most importantly, I assist with campus safety inspections during patrols, as well as practicing emergency safety protocols for a variety of risks inherent to an industrial production facility.
