About David K. Kirui
I am a data scientist with a passion for problem-solving through data. I completed my Ph.D. at the University of Pennsylvania, where I studied sociology and statistics. During my doctoral studies, I worked extensively with survey data and quasi-experimental methods. I am well-versed in statistical methods, machine learning, and statistical programming. Moreover, I am skilled at communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. At Insight, I created TrainAware, a web application that employs ensemble machine-learning methods to analyze time-series fitness data from wearables to help exercise enthusiasts assess their likelihood of over-exertion and injury. I am incredibly resourceful and fastidious and am passionate about my own personal and professional development and that of my teammates.
