For 15 years, I\'ve practiced medicine in South Los Angeles and Skid Row, focusing on culturally aligned innovation that reflects community values. My work bridges clinical care with technology, empowering underestimated communities and mentoring future healthcare leaders to create systems where technology unites rather than divides.As a physician, co-founder, and CEO of the Latino Health Innovation Alliance (LHIA) and SaludConTech, I build culturally aligned, community-driven healthcare solutions. Real change requires more than new tools; it demands confronting the cultural, political, and systemic realities that shape our lives. The healthcare of tomorrow isn\'t just about managing illness, but reimagining well-being as a process that uplifts entire communities. Building health equity calls for more than algorithms, it requires trust, shared values, and solutions built alongside those we serve.A longstanding advocate for diversity, I co-founded The Latino Medical Student Association chapter at The University of Chicago and a founding member of The Diversity & Inclusion Committee at Harbor-UCLA. As an Assistant Professor at UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine, I helped pioneer the UCLA Health Equity Challenge and secured funding from The Promise Institute for Human Rights at UCLA Law to launch the first-ever remote forensic evaluations for asylum seekers, a process that more than doubles asylum grant rates. Beyond my clinical work, I support underrepresented founders through validation studies of their startups, building investor confidence and driving capital to create a more equitable entrepreneurial ecosystem. This commitment to expanding access led me to establish the first telehealth program for Los Angeles County DHS. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I developed remote teaching protocols for medical students and pioneered cross-border virtual family visits to address hospital visitation restrictions. At USC Keck School of Medicine, I guide the next generation of healthcare leaders to understand that innovation isn\'t just about technology, it\'s about honoring every story and building solutions that connect us all.In healthcare, innovation without representation isn\'t progress, it\'s a missed opportunity.
