Direct the Human Resources activities for the commercial laundry manufacturer that is the industry leader for domestic market. Former company/product name was Speed Queen. We have 2,700 employees around the world and have had an outstanding growth in sales, profits, customer and employee growth.In this position I lead the efforts for Medical Insurance change that not only resulted in significant savings, but also provided employees choices to best serve their personal situation.Conducted first ever employee engagement survey that provided important tool to retain employees and attract new employees to an employer who demonstrates concern for employees values and opinions.Instituted Client Rep positions with HR to provide support to a rapidly growing company that has employment needs spanning the globe - and from Vice President to hourly workers.Assisted with implementing SAP as a leader on the Steering Committee and as the Business Process Owner for Human Resources. Also lead the efforts for Organizational Change during the SAP implementation process.Transformed a highly transaction-based focused HR department into a strategic partner for the business with several new processes including, monthly Expanded Staff Meetings, common-date performance reviews and merit increases, instituted intranet communication tool, promoted cross-functional awareness with an announcement for all new office employees that included text and picture, up-graded the talent within HR in the recruiting and employee relations area and community support areas.
