Partner with People, Operations, and Finance to address root causes of recurring issues through better contracting and decision frameworks.• Overseeing litigation and dispute strategy — Manage civil litigation, arbitration, and negotiations across jurisdictions. Served as corporate designee in 8-day arbitration, achieving 64% reduction from plaintiff\'s $1.8M demand. Direct outside counsel to ensure legal strategy aligns with business objectives.

To do that, I sometimes build my own AI tools.Before my current role, I spent years in private practice starting as a trial attorney, then evolving into fractional general counsel work for growth-stage companies navigating regulation, commercial disputes, and scale. That progression taught me how to translate courtroom instincts into business judgment—knowing when to push back and when to say yes, and how to explain risk in ways that help executives make decisions instead of just cataloging problems.I write about legal tech, legal ops, risk management, and the economics of in-house practice. I also write about justice, civil rights, and politics—not because I\'m an activist, but because law is always downstream of politics, culture, and power.
