Co-Founder & CTO at Sintela. Sintela provides optical fiber based sensing solutions that enable customers to apply advanced sensing technology to their business Since helping to originate fiber-optic Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) in 1996, I’ve become a leading figure in the field, applying the technology across a range of industries and driving innovation. In 2009 I was the first person to demonstrate the use of DAS for oil & gas downhole monitoring. Before co-founding Sintela I was, among other roles, Senior Fellow at QinetiQ and co-founder/CTO of Optasense which I helped grow to become at the time the largest business in the DAS industry.
