About Darcy Gentleman
With over 15 years of experience in science communications and stakeholder engagement, I help to build and sustain quality engagements across science and society. I draw on my Ph.D. in Chemistry, undergraduate studies in Planetary Science, and storytelling practice to cultivate science-informed dialogue and collaboration. This includes using various methods, such as interactive workshops, strategic communications plans, and stakeholder mapping. I am passionate about discovering and communicating the potential of science to improve equitable quality of life. My true strength lies in being an \'ideas choreographer, a \'content editor,\'and an \'audience connector.\' I excel at triangulating seemingly disparate ideas into content that resonates with diverse audiences. The most exhilarating conversations and projects emerge from the fusion of arts and sciences, humanities and engineering, storytelling and analytical thinking. At USP, I work as a senior stakeholder engagement manager, a global pharmaceuticals and public health organization that sets standards for the quality and safety of medicines, food ingredients, and dietary supplements. In this role, I engage with various stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, industry representatives, professional healthcare practitioners and scientists, and patient/consumer advocacy groups, to conduct ongoing engagement and develop strategic programming.
