About Deepak Jayaraman

My mission is to help growth minded individuals play to potential. I strive to do it through my advisory work as a coach and sounding board with a few leaders and by sharing my ideas as a podcaster, author and a speaker. Advisory: I work with Leaders and Organizations with a growth mindset and help them play to their full potential. I realize that each individual and organizational context is unique and requires a bespoke response. I strive to spend significant upfront energy in understand the nuances of the context and then armed with the mutual trust and understanding of the context, strive to be of value as a (behind the scenes and discreet) Coach / Sounding Board for their journeys. Podcast: I have been curating the Play to Potential Podcast since Dec 2016 and see it as a labour of love for the long term. I see it as an opportunity to learn, reflect and grow and hopefully bring some of that in the work I do on the advisory side. While my ability to spend time with my clients might be constrained by my capacity, I see this is an opportunity to provoke reflection and drive positive change with a larger number of people.    I have written the book: Play to Potential - Lead a full life, Become the best you. Published by Penguin Random House in Nov 2024. Now a National Bestseller. I explore the notion of human potential; how we all can lead a holistic life and do justice to the various identities we have (For instance, I am a son, husband, father, coach, podcaster, guitarist, author to name a few). I look at how we all can lead full, multi-dimensional lives amidst the pulls and pressures of mid-life, which is now anywhere between 30s and 60s. I discuss a framework - FLAVOUR - which can act as a lighthouse in the high-seas of life which can often be disorienting with multiple elements pulling us in different directions. I also discuss 6 journeys of individuals who I believe are striving to play to their full potential (Ravishankar Iyer, Sangeeta Shahaney, Soma Biswas Vajpayee, Sucharita Mukherjee, Sumeet Mehta and Vineet Panchhi). The book also has QR codes that links to small nuggets from the podcast and video interviews of these 6 individuals.
