ABOUT DIYA KOSHHA JAIN
SEEKING:Currently seeking a fashion, film, and/or experiential design industry specific roles in creative direction, styling, experiential production, editorial, and more. In search of collaborative, curious, and concept-driven brands / agencies that work across various mediums. BIO: Diya is a graduate from the Rhode Island School of Design [BFA Film/Animation 2021]. She spent the last few years in Jaipur (India) diving deep into the jewelry industry. She is the founder and current creative head of a fine jewelry brand, anga new york, which is an extension to her family\'s jewelry business. STATEMENT:As a multi-hyphenate storyteller, I exist at the intersection of film, food, and fashion. Born in New Delhi, and raised in New York, the dialogue of my work translates my experiences—especially those rooted on the cusp. Through styling, direction, writing, and much more, I weave together visual movements with broader narrative/lyrical concepts, to tell stories of home, objects, and relationships. If my work could talk, it would define itself as having ‘a minimalist attitude and a maximalist behavior’.PERSONAL CREATIVE:I translate what I feel. And feelings are intangible. I move towards conceptualism. For some reason, it seems easier. As I begin to express myself, I am whole and attuned to this world. I have arrived somewhere, a point of vagueness, abstraction, surrealism. They used to say,\"No one will understand you, and your numerous complexities\". Indeed, no one understood me. I am floating outside of this world. Have I lost all authenticity in the process? Is this orchestrated? Is this even a feeling anymore? Why do I surpass that sweet spot where my inner world can meet the outer world more graciously? The time has ticked, and with a flood of new feelings, I am thrown into my endless loop all over again.[My Endless Loop].
