Field Engineering Representative @United Cooperative Services

Responsible for the design, inspection, and coordination of electric distribution projects, supporting safe and reliable service across assigned grid locations. Acts as a liaison between engineering, operations, contractors, and cooperative members to ensure projects are accurately designed, properly documented, and efficiently constructed.My responsibilities include - Inspecting meters and service connections for defects, damage, unauthorized use, and abnormal consumption; verify readings, document fluctuations, and perform meter exchanges and service connect/disconnects-Assuming responsibility for assigned grid areas, maintaining accurate system data, material accounting, and field documentation- Designing and staking area lighting, single-phase and three-phase line extensions, and service upgrades using GPS and laser staking technology- Developing job packages including material lists, maps, cost estimates, work plans, and service upgrades within engineering software- Coordinating and releasing construction-ready work with Operations teams and contractors; assist with storm response and inclement weather operations- Meet directly with cooperative members, developers, and internal contractors to design or redesign electric services, discuss power requirements, apply aid-to-construction policies, and obtain required easements- Collaborating with other utilities, city officials, and county representatives to ensure compliance with joint-use agreements, codes, and regulations.
