Mandar is a qualified Chartered Accountant with superlative academic achievements (3 times Gold Medalist) and diverse, rich experience across FMCG, Automotive, Chemicals, Logistics, Healthcare, Retail, Telecom and Financial Service industries and functions over last 17 years. Mandar is the CFO for the Agricultural Business of M&M. This role manages 4 entity CFOs, works with the CEOs and shareholders of the JVs. The roles drives strategic initiatives, identifies new opportunities for growth and scale and builds future ready finance function, people capabilities including digitisation & automation. Mandar has gained rich exposure to multiple finance sub-domains in his illustrious career. He believes in being a Generalist Specialist, decoding the ambiguity and thriving in new domains with an accelerated learning curve through a digitally native mindset. He sets the high bar of integrity and ethics in his personal and professional life. He was Financial Controller for ~10 bn Auto Business of M&M leading entire gamut of financial reporting, statutory/internal audit, treasury, risk, governance, M&A and subsidiaries performance management. He established the ICAI CPE Study Circle in M&M. He spearheaded the 100 MW of hybrid renewable power project as well. His work at Reliance Industries Ltd over ~ 9 years spanned across Financial Reporting, Internal Audit, EA to CFO, Dy. Treasurer of Jio, Strategy at Chairman\'s office, Investor Relations for Retail and Head Treasury/M&A for Petrochemicals. He was heading the Tax function in his earlier roles at Cadbury and Tata Group. Mandar has experimented ~ a couple of years in the startup ecosystem across the value chain - Principal in a $200 mn VC Fund, Head Finance at an unicorn startup, Head Startup Accelerator (Corporate VC). He has been an investor in many startups as well. Mandar believes in empathetic leadership, open communication, collaborative but agile workspace. His colleagues and team members trust him for his functional expertise and strategic inputs. He is a natural orator and has excellent articulation skills with a deep sense of numbers and story behind the same.
