o Over 38 years of professional experience in catalyzing growth and economic development covering diverse areas including infrastructure, health, education, agriculture and natural resources, public management, finance, private sector development, public private partnerships climate change and regional cooperation. o Over the last 21 years, working in the Asian Development Bank (ADB) on sustainable and inclusive socioeconomic development. o Since January 2021, as the Deputy Director General (DDG), PPFD, managing procurement and financial management policy and oversight, and overall management of more than $100 billion portfolio of ongoing ADB projects and programs. In addition, as Chair, Data Management Sub-Committee supporting digital transformation in ADB. o During 20••••20, as the DDG of South Asia Department, managed the largest operations team in ADB and about $30 billion portfolio of ongoing projects and programs along with average annual lending and disbursements of above $6 billion and $4 billion, respectively. o Possess sound overall understanding of multilateral development banks having worked in operations departments as well as in departments dealing with sector and thematic policies and strategies, knowledge management, and corporate policy and strategy formulation and implementation in ADB. Also managed ADB budget for three years. o Extensive experience in program and organizational management including setting vision and strategic directions, formulation and implementation of policies, institution building, defining operational priorities, program and project development, and monitoring progress. o Led and managed large teams of multi-sector experts delivering transformative results through innovative, complex, and challenging mega projects and major reform programs. Currently managing large COVID-19 response projects and programs of ADB in South Asia. o Prior to joining ADB, worked in the Indian Administrative Service at national, state and local levels for more than 15 years. Held positions dealing with bilateral and multilateral development assistance, infrastructure development, commercially run state owned enterprises and broad-based socioeconomic development. o In addition, worked as a probationer in the Indian Railway Traffic Service for about one and a half year. o Three-year research and teaching experience in economics at the State University of New York, Stony Brook, USA while being on study leave from the Indian Administrative Service. o Continuing interest in analytical work and knowledge sharing.
