ABOUT DIWAKAR PANDEY
Diwakar Pandey did research work in the area of post-combustion carbon dioxide capture. Measurement of CO2 solubility and cyclic capacity in aqueous absorbents at different operating parameters, estimation of the heat of absorption, and physicochemical properties (viscosity, density, refractive index, etc.) measurements were mainly included in his experimental research work. Derived thermodynamic properties were calculated for absorbents.Thermodynamic models were developed by Diwakar to predict CO2 solubility. New mathematical models were also proposed by him to estimate the density and viscosity of CO2-unloaded and CO2-loaded samples in the range of studied operating parameters.CO2 solubility data, cyclic capacity, and physicochemical properties of absorbents are used to design and optimize the fixed and operating cost of absorber and desorber for the post-combustion carbon dioxide absorption process.He has published 6 research papers in the Science Citation Index (SCI) journals of the Q1 quartile indexed. Apart from the research achievements he has also qualified 8 times in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) with a very good score in the Chemical Engineering discipline.
