Quality Assurance :1. Documentation & ComplianceDevelop, implement, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Ensure compliance with ISO, GMP, HACCP, BRC, FDA, or customer-specific requirements.Maintain traceability records (raw material to finished product).2. Supplier & Material QualityApprove and audit suppliers of films, inks, adhesives, and laminates.Establish raw material specifications and ensure COA (Certificate of Analysis) compliance.3. Process Validation & ControlApprove production processes for extrusion, printing, lamination, slitting, and pouching.Validate critical parameters (e.g, temperature, tension, curing).4. Customer & Regulatory HandlingManage customer complaints and initiate root cause analysis.Handle regulatory audits and certifications.Quality Control & Inspection :1. Incoming Material InspectionVerify quality of films, resins, inks, adhesives, and other packaging substrates.Check COA vs. actual test results (e.g, thickness, GSM, adhesion).2. In-Process Quality ChecksMonitor extrusion (film thickness, clarity, gauge variation).Check print quality (registration, color shade, scuff resistance, adhesion).Test lamination (bond strength, curing status, delamination, odour).Verify slitting quality (edge cut, roll winding, core alignment).Pouch quality (seal strength, leakage, dimension, appearance).3. Finished Product InspectionPerform tests on barrier properties (WVTR, OTR), migration, slip, COF.Check seal integrity, drop test, bursting strength, pinhole test, etc.Ensure packing, labeling, and traceability are correct.4. Testing & CalibrationConduct routine lab testing (tensile, dart impact, peeling, heat-seal, COF).Ensure equipment calibration and proper documentation.5. Non-Conformance ManagementIdentify defective products and segregate them.Prepare rejection/hold reports and inform production for corrective actions.
