ABOUT DIVYA PADIA GANDHI
A microbiologist by training, storyteller/educator at heart, and lifelong learner on a mission to build thriving learning communities! The complexities of the human body have always fascinated me. Over the last decade, I have immersed myself in life sciences research, teaching, and administration. For me, science is not just about finding answers; it’s about the journey—the “aha!” moments—and the joy of sharing discoveries in ways that resonate with others. Currently, I serve as a Biomanufacturing Trainer at CASTL’s Biomanufacturing Facility in Richmond, BC, recently promoted from an administrative technician role. In this new capacity, I blend technical expertise with a passion for teaching, leading the delivery of high-impact, hands-on learning experiences. My role bridges operations and education, ensuring that learners from diverse backgrounds gain the practical skills and confidence to excel in the biopharmaceutical industry. I am also pursuing a Master’s in Educational Technology at UBC, where I am expanding my understanding of inclusive, evidence-based pedagogy. This journey has involved designing learning tools using Figma, exploring AI and digital labor ethics, and applying constructivist frameworks to online learning. I am also building The Speaking Tree—an online platform for knowledge-sharing and lifelong learning. My guiding principle? Learning to teach and teaching to learn. This belief keeps me grounded, constantly evolving, and inspired by every opportunity to share knowledge and learn in return. At the heart of my work is a belief in education as a tool for empowerment and global connection. I am passionate about making science and learning accessible, inclusive, and meaningful. Whether I’m developing instructional tools, organizing training programs, or distilling complex scientific topics into engaging content, my aim is to build bridges between knowledge and people. I am open to opportunities that contribute to community welfare, where my experience, education, and passion for teaching and continuous learning can be put to purposeful use. If your mission aligns with empowering communities through education, I’d love to connect and collaborate.
