WORK HISTORY
Senior Soft Surface Modeller @JLR
GB
Collaborated with the Design and Brand teams at JLR to develop soft surface assets and contribute to product aesthetics. Created highly detailed 3D models for interiors and accessories, ensuring clean form and surface precision. Applied principles of positive-negative space, asymmetrical balance, and form studies to support product development with a design-sensitive lens. Used Deltagen, V-Ray, and Rhino to explore material combinations including car paints, leathers, PVC finishes, and surface forms. Developed and adjusted visual presentations of materials using Illustrator and Photoshop, occasionally incorporating embroidery simulations and custom patterns. This role deepened my interest in material design, and I am now actively transitioning into a CMF-focused, sustainability-led creative path.

ABOUT DIVYA BARANWAL
I’m a material-led designer with over a decade of experience across 3D visualization, cinematic storytelling, and automotive design. From shaping spaces for brands like Taj and Marriott to building real-time environments in films like Laal Singh Chaddha and Transformers, I’ve always used design to evoke emotion and meaning. At Jaguar Land Rover, I contribute to the surfaces that define next-gen vehicles. But my focus is evolving — toward CMF, sensory storytelling, and sustainable materials that do more than just look good. I believe textures can carry memory, colors can build trust, and surfaces can speak to who we are — and where we’re going. I’m here to design for that future.
