ABOUT DIVI MAHESHWARI

With a Bachelor\'s degree in Psychology from McGill University and a wealth of experience in research and student leadership roles, I bring a unique blend of academic rigor and practical expertise. My journey has taken me from the labs of the Douglas Research Centre to vibrant student organizations at McGill. These experienced honed my skills in research, data analysis, and community engagement. Leading and contributing to various student associations, coordinating events, managing social media, and exploring graphic design have all enriched my skill set and reinforced my commitment to fostering inclusive, supportive environments. Most recently, my clinical internships at Evolution Psychotherapy, Le Psych Loft, and CogniCorp+ Therapy Inc. have given me hands-on exposure to therapeutic work. At Evolution Psychotherapy, I develop psychoeducational eBooks on topics like depression, DBT, ACT, and emotion regulation. I also design client-facing resources—infographics, posters, and flyers—on skills like managing anxiety, improving communication, and regulating emotions. At CogniCorp+, I work on DSM-5-based intake assessments, analyze client data, and create interactive wellness content to support people awaiting therapy. I’ve also helped plan evidence-based workshops and design customized preventative care tools. At Le Psych Loft, I shadowed therapy sessions with teens and adults and debriefed with the Clinic Director on treatments for issues like social anxiety, perfectionism, and burnout. I also managed blog content and compiled mental health resources to support clients between sessions. These roles have shaped my understanding of evidence-based care, sharpened my clinical insight, and deepened my commitment to mental health accessibility and prevention. Fluent in English and Hindi, conversational in Thai, and currently learning French, I thrive in multicultural settings and value the diverse perspectives they bring. As I prepare to begin graduate study at the University of Pennsylvania, I’m excited to build on this foundation—gaining the skills and training required to become a licensed professional counselor.
