No surprises - I work in the Diversity and Inclusion space providing Equity, Diversity & Inclusion guidance and leadership on a freelance basis to a range of companies including GlaxoSmithKline, Coursera, Dyson, Transport for the North, HM Government as well as charities like Institute for Government and West Sussex Mediation Services (WSMS). Specifically: Shaping, drafting and reviewing Diversity & Inclusion policies and strategies and helping teams to build their strongest strategies and policies. Reviewing existing processes and ways of working to ensure both adherence to the law and to eliminate sources of discrimination. Designing and delivering key learning interventions on subjects ranging from a basic understanding of Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging to Anti-Racism to Microaggressions, Unconscious Bias and Intersectionality. Providing expertise, steering and leadership on issues from recruitment to building inclusive learning and services. Designing and administering inclusion surveys and reporting on results to Senior Leadership alongside action plans to tackle identified issues. Setting up employee groups and advising on their creation and charter. Compiling, reviewing and interpreting D&I metrics and data and presenting the data internally and externally. Recommending actions based on the data.
