ABOUT DISHA NITIN JOSHI
Hello! I\'m looking forward to join the pharma sector as a research and analytical professional in areas like quality control, clinical research, formulation and analysis, biotechnology, quality assurance. I have around 2 years of analytical experience in LC-MS method development, validation, preclinical/clinical sample analysis, quality assurance, quality control and preclinical mouse model analysis and quality control testing. My previous role as an Analytical Scientist II in a GLP gave me a hands on experience in sample processing in different matrices, protein, liquid-liquid extractions, LC-MS, HPLC-MS operation and troubleshooting. My current role as a Quality Assurance Specialist has given me a regulatory understanding by providing quality assurance support related to clinical and commercial products, managing records in Veeva CDOCs, Change Control, reviewing reports, specifications and auditing, ensuring compliance with FDA and cGMP to ensure pharmaceutical quality and safety. I graduated with a masters degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences and have completed my one year thesis research on \'Analysis of metformin biodistribution and tumor marker PDL-1 in Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma mouse xenograft models\'. The aim was to develop and validate a Liquid Chromatography- Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS) assay for the quantification of metformin in tumor, liver, kidney, spleen, heart and lung tissues along with plasma. Tissue protein analysis was performed to check the expression profile of PDL-1 protein in response to metformin\'s anti-cancer action in HNSCC xenograft. Goal is to understand oral metformin\'s anti-cancer effect in response to tumor associated biomarker or PDL-1 protein.I have worked on techniques like LC-MS, HPLC, tissue homogenization, western blotting, analytical assay development and assay validation, protein purification, RT-PCR and mammalian cell culture based assays.
