ABOUT DIRK HÜNERBEIN
Dirk Hünerbein is currently Director of Development responsible for Austria and Germany in Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield and delivered in April 2025 the opening of the biggest mixed-use development in Europe: Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier. Before he was Senior Project Partner at Drees & Sommer, a construction and real estate consulting company. Prior to this, from 2006 to 2010, he held different executive positions at ECE Projektmanagement GmbH & Co. KG, including Senior Project Manager and Head of Retail in Hamburg, Director Architecture in Istanbul and Head of Development in Kiev. Dirk Hünerbein studied architecture and urban development in Hamburg and Norway before he started his professional career to work as an architect for gmp and BRT/Hadi Teherani.
