ABOUT DIRK HARTMANN
People and Industrial Mathematics are my passion. Computational algorithms are the innovation backbone of the 21st century. Passionate people breathe life into algorithms. Bringing both together, I have realized innovations many deemed impossible.\"I am a technology leader, industrial mathematician and intrapreneur in the field of Simulation and Digital Twin. In my career, I took several leading roles in research, innovation, and management across Siemens including the lead of a multi-million Siemens R&D program and the global technical leadership for the Simulation & Digital Twin field at Siemens Technology with more than 120 experts and innovators. My career is marked by numerous awards, including the prestigious Werner-von-Siemens Top Innovator Award in 2019 for my lifetime achievements and the Siemens Inventor of the Year Award in 2021. Many of my innovations have led to novel products and are regularly showcased at innovation events.Beyond my responsibilities I am a full professor at the TU Darmstadt, leading the chair for Digital Twins. Furthermore, I frequently serve as a keynote speaker at executive and C-level events as well as academic conferences. I am a dedicated mentor and teacher, guiding the next generation of Digital Twin innovators. I actively engage with academic and industrial associations to create a unique industrial mathematics innovation ecosystem.
