   Dirk has over 17 years with PwC, including the last 15 years serving a mix of large global and medium sized clients in the Technology, Media and Telecommunications practice in Silicon Valley - Dirk has vast experience working with these complex clients through challenging transitions, business transformations, international operations / expansions, continuously evolving business / operational models and internal control environments - The dynamics of Dirk’s client base has exposed him to extensive SEC reporting and US GAAP technical expertise in revenue recognition, acquisition accounting, spin off and divestiture accounting, IPO transactions, discontinued operations, stock-based compensation, equity and debt instruments, treasury related accounting issues and complex tax accounting issues - In managing complexity Dirk leverages this deep technical expertise and commercial experience to solve complex issues working directly with clients in a practical, collaborative and transparent manner - Dirk also has significant experience with SEC comment letters, inspections and internal control related matters including several first year adoptions of internal controls over financial reporting at his clients - In serving his clients Dirk leads high performing global multi disciplinary teams - Dirk has traveled extensively over the years for his clients and has significant international exposure including public accounting in the UK and Southern Africa as well as the brokerage industry in Sri Lanka
