ABOUT DIRK SELLERS
Dirk Sellers is a seasoned executive with an accomplished track record in nonprofit management and fundraising. Over the past 20+ years, he has held various leadership roles in conservation, international development, health, education, and management consulting.Dirk has secured seven- and eight-figure charitable gifts from individuals, foundations, and corporations across the Americas, Europe, and Asia. He brings hands-on experience in the design and execution of successful fundraising strategies, and he has built development programs from the ground up, orchestrated turnarounds, reinvigorated stalled campaigns, and led established programs to new levels of success. His professional experience includes work at two widely recommended management consulting firms which afforded him exposure to the industry’s best practices and many of the sector\'s most innovative solutions. He also brings experience in program assessment, strategic planning, team building, board relations, and volunteer management.Active in his profession, Dirk is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the American Society of Association Executives. He received a BS in government and public service from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and he has completed coursework toward an advanced degree in leadership. He earned a commercial pilot\'s license while training at FlightSafety Academy. And he has participated in several certificate and professional development programs.Dirk currently serves as Chief Development Officer at the National Wildlife Federation, America’s largest grassroots conservation organization with 7 million members and supporters across the US. Since joining NWF in 2015, Dirk has led teams in growing philanthropic revenue by more than 60%, further professionalizing the Federation’s development operation, and bolstering its financial strength and agility.
