As the Head of Department at Fraunhofer IIS EAS, I lead a team of researchers and engineers who apply artificial intelligence, internet of things, and smart sensors to solve complex challenges in distributed data processing and control for various industrial domains, such as energy systems, automation, and robotics. With over 10 years of experience in applied research and innovation, I have a strong track record of delivering high-quality solutions that meet the needs and expectations of our clients and partners.I am also a part-time lecturer at Technische Universität Dresden, where I teach modeling and system identification, covering topics from the basics to nonlinear systems and machine learning. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and expertise with the next generation of engineers and scientists, and inspiring them to pursue their passions and interests in the field of AI and smart systems.
