About Dipankar Rai

As an academic leader, I have advanced business education through accreditation, strategic planning, curriculum innovation, faculty development, global engagement, and student success. Across six leadership roles at the Madden School of Business and Le Moyne College—including service as Associate Dean—I have strengthened institutions, cultivated partnerships, and delivered measurable impact.As Associate Dean, I managed accreditation, academic affairs, faculty sufficiency, and strategic initiatives. I led Madden’s successful AACSB review, collaborated with the Provost on Middle States compliance, guided Assurance of Learning processes, and built systems to track student outcomes. I also worked with faculty on curriculum development, hiring, governance, and research support, always aligning academic innovation with Madden’s mission and values.In my role overseeing accreditation, I prepared the CIR report and all associated deliverables, coordinated peer review visits, and integrated continuous improvement into the academic culture. Through strategic planning and governance, I guided updates to mission and vision, developed growth strategies, and introduced new leadership structures that enhanced transparency and shared governance.As Director of MBA Programs, I drove growth and innovation by exploring cohort models, expanding HyFlex and distance learning, developing international markets, strengthening recruitment and retention, and developing relationships with companies. I oversaw scheduling, advisement, adjunct faculty, and student learning assessment with a focus on program quality.As the Director of Hetterich Center for Global Engagement, I launched immersive experiences, created a Global Citizenship Speaker Series, secured funding, and built partnerships that broadened student perspectives. I also advanced equity and societal impact by developing assessment tools, cultivating inclusion, and building the Madden SDG Dashboard to map faculty scholarship against the UN Sustainable Development Goals.At the core of all my roles has been a commitment to student success, faculty excellence, and mission-driven leadership. Whether mentoring faculty, designing programs, or building community partnerships, my focus has been on aligning vision with strategy to prepare globally aware, practice-ready graduates.
