Creating paper models of buildings, houses, towers was my childhood interest. I still remember how I used to convert card boards to nice looking replica of structures, towers, etc.As I went through higher secondary education, I realized few options to pursue career towards my interests and finally I ended up joining Bachelor of Engineering course in Civil Engineering. Out of that, I started liking subject on structural engineering and then I completed Master of Engineering in Structural Engineering.I was picked up to join one of leading engineering construction company in India as Post Graduate Engineer Trainee where I started practicing all the principles of structural engineering for Power Plant Structures. I could leverage a rare opportunity to perform detailed FEM based static and dynamic analysis of large rotating equipment foundations like steam turbine generators, boiler feed pumps, fans, etc. I was able to practice designs on state-of-the-art design software like STAA.Pro, and SAFE. Almost 10-year long association with the Indian engineering giant organization, I learned various plant engineering aspects like interface engineering with other disciplines including procurement and construction teams. Very soon I started leading team of 10+ professionals for the civil/structural scope of works for large EPC projects of Thermal Power Plants (Coal, Gas, Combined cycle, captive plant, etc.).Subsequently I had an opportunity to work with one of the most renowned engineering multinational company where I am working till date for more than six years. Apart from learning other software like, RISA 3D and spMats, here I have learned structural designs based on American (AISC, ACI, IBC, etc.) and other international design codes. I could leverage my detailed design experience to services projects like Owner’s Engineering and Proposal Engineering.Most recently, I have diversified into an exciting opportunity to support my employer’s Renewable Energy Business goals. Here, I am supporting civil design aspects of utility scale ground mounted Solar Photo Voltaic Power Generation Plants. This includes designs for Environmental Resource Permits and EPC.Looking forward to leverage 16+ years of technical experience in Conventional and Renewable Power Generation to in the capacity of Project Discipline Engineer, Lead Engineer, Discipline Head/Manager or Engineering Manager or even Field Engineer.
