Cummins India ltd, Pune (12th March 2018 till date)Company Profile: Cummins is an American Fortune 500 corporation that designs, manufactures, and distributes engines, filtration, and power generation products.Position : Sourcing specialist for North America and rest of the world (Division : Supply Chain Management)Work profile:• Sourcing customer down order parts from North America and rest of the world as per the availability of material by following process hierarchy. • Purchase order processing and expediting high priority customer down back orders for the site.• Co-ordinating with Plants, Regional distribution center (RDC), Parts distribution center (PDC) and Distributors over calls/e-mails to source material from them. Negotiate with them as per the urgency.• Distributing load of work to team as per their skills and abilities and making sure no order is left unattended at end of the day. • Handling 3 stakeholders individually.• Closing the Purchase orders (PO) on timely manner to get the bill paid on time.• Premium freight requests (PFR) and transportation coordination.• Inventory management (Excess inventory propositioning)• Giving ideas to implement the process.• Siebel requests (SR)- Handling customer’s requests, all queries and escalations in Siebel- Working closely with material planner, plants and stakeholders to get ETA of material- Making sure to respond on SR within 4 hrs- Closing Siebel request on time with proper resolutions.• Other activities - Analysis support for Supply chain Projects - Training new joiners on oracle platform for SCM process- Member of ‘Buddy program’ who helps to take new joiners through company policies and work culture.
