I am an author, strategist, and executive who works at the point where leadership, policy, and real impact meet. Over the last 20 years, I have helped government agencies, consulting teams, and private clients handle major change, manage risk, and make difficult decisions. My strength is turning complex problems into clear actions that improve trust, stability, and performance.Being an author has shaped how I lead and advise. Writing has taught me how to explain complex ideas in simple ways, connect with people, and influence decisions through clear storytelling. This skill has helped me brief Congress, advise senior leaders, and guide organizations through high-pressure situations with clarity and purpose.I have worked on federal budgeting and risk systems, including building enterprise risk frameworks for the U.S. Air Force. At Deloitte Consulting, I led cybersecurity and strategic risk efforts and helped design an Enterprise Risk Management system that linked strategy, budgets, and risk information across the full planning and execution cycle. This work helped leaders make better decisions and meet federal requirements.At USAID, as Senior Advisor for Policy, Risk, and Compliance, I led enterprise risk and financial integrity programs and oversaw reports submitted to OMB and Congress. My leadership helped reduce major weaknesses, improve audits, and strengthen accountability across the agency.Earlier, at the Department of Homeland Security and agencies like FEMA, ICE, and TSA, I managed large budgets and led executive teams in finance, workforce, and procurement. I regularly briefed Congress and senior leaders. These roles reinforced my belief that leadership is not only about managing systems, but about influencing people through clear ideas and shared purpose.My journey as a leader inspired my writing. I authored a children’s book, Project Christmas, focused on kindness, generosity, and community. My upcoming memoir, From Children’s to the Capital, shares lessons on resilience, leadership, and public service. Through writing, I extend my impact beyond organizations to people and communities.Today, as General Partner at Bohemian Advisory Collective, I help organizations turn strategy into action and create lasting results. I connect leadership, risk, and operations while mentoring teams and building strong partnerships across sectors.I measure success by the clarity I create, the trust I build, and the impact I leave behind. Writing is not separate from my leadership; it strengthens it, helping me influence, teach, and lead with purpose.
