ABOUT DIONNE REID HON MUNIV

Derbyshire\'s most inspirational woman 2017, recognised as a woman of historical significance by Derby Museums, Honorary Master of Derby University, Black Achievers Award Winner, Founded the Women\'s Work Charity in 2003. The aim of the charity is to improve the health and wellbeing of disadvantaged and vulnerable women.The charity is now a National Award winning charity, delivering a range of projects and services including inspirational events, support, advocacy, practical skills workshops, accredited courses, training for professionals and running a contact centre for separated families.Working holistically, our aim is to improve health and well-being outcomes for women and families with multiple needs, supporting those affected by-poor mental healthlow confidencedrug / alcohol addictionoffending historyexploited through the sex industrydomestic abuse family separation/ crisisAt Women Work, we are passionate about helping women and families particularly from the most deprived and troubled backgrounds to gain the skills and confidence they need to succeed and make positive and lasting life changes, that will improve their overall health and well-being. However we will rarely turn away a woman or family in need and if we are unable to help, we will work with our extensive network of partner agencies to find one that can.
