ABOUT DIOGO MYRRHA

In venture capital, it’s important to have a point of view. My partners and I have learned two lessons along the way: a little luck can go a long way and a smaller number of deep, meaningful connections is more powerful than a broad and shallow network. Our thesis centers around each partner’s conviction in a founder; so relationship is baked into the equation very early. Prior to venture investing, I joined the founding team at Braven, a startup bent on making “the world’s most talented speakers.” An immigrant, this was my first job offer and off-campus job. Startup pace stretched me like never before and Braven successfully exited to Incipio in 2013. I then cofounded another Consumer Electronic company which we sold after 9 months and have been investing since.I first came to the US at age 14 as a foreign exchange student, living with a farming family in Sugar City, Idaho. The smallest 14-year-old I’m sure in that town, I could not have been more out of place: from language to weather, nothing was familiar to me. Determination and a fair share of tears got me through those short days and long nights in Idaho and I’m grateful every day for the opportunity to have learned, grown and now work in the US. I came back at 17 to attend university and eventually joined a startup.
