ABOUT DIOGO PIRES
In November 2022, I concluded my integrated master\'s degree in Mechanical Engineering, specialized in the Mechanical Project and Manufacturing Field, at Instituto Superior Tecnico, University of Lisbon.My master\'s thesis consisted in developing, designing and testing a new compact non-linear spiral torsion spring to be used as the passive force element in a lower limb exoskeleton, for which I developed a parametric design optimization algorithm. This project combined CAD Design, Finite Element Analysis, Matlab programming, Computational Mechanics and Prototype\'s Manufacturing and Testing, all areas that I demonstrate high level of proficiency.
