About Dinu Viswanath
Dinu Viswanath serves as the GM at Greenko Group in the Commercial department, overseeing Digitalization, Data analytics & Management, DSM,Forecasting, Scheduling & QCA (Wind, Solar, Hydro & Pumped Storage Project ( PSP)) & supporting related regulatory activities. He spearheaded the development of in-house forecasting, scheduling, & QCA capabilities, adhering to CERC/SERC guidelines for wind & solar. With the assistance of the IT development team, he automated much of the forecasting & scheduling process through various RPA applications.Supporting the trading team by providing schedules in the required format for entering schedules into various exchanges for power sales. Additionally, he coordinated with NCMRWF for NWP data collection to enhance forecast accuracies of in-house forecast models.Before transitioning to the Commercial department, Dinu held a position in O&M-Wind, where he managed the CMS team, including application development, database management, SCADA, and performance analysis for 2.3 GW. He played a key role in designing and developing CMS service solutions for Orange Renewable assets, providing 24×7 real-time monitoring and performance analysis for 567.2 MW. Prior to joining Greenko, he worked with DNV GL (Renewable Advisory team) & WWIL (WRA) formerly known as Enercon India Ltd.At DNV GL, he contributed to the application development process for the Renewable Advisory team & Forecasting business. During his tenure at Wind World, he collaborated with various SLDCs & other state & central government utilities on F&S projects, developing numerous in-house tools & databases to support the Scheduling & Forecasting (more than 3.5 GW) and SCADA team.His responsibilities encompass setting up Forecasting & Scheduling & QCA, CMS, regulatory activities, developing software tools (.NET), Python, & databases (SQL & MS Access), data analytics, and SCADA database management. Beginning his career as a SCADA engineer, he specializes in analyzing turbine SCADA data & conducting Operation Analysis for the performance of Wind Turbines operations with SCADA data.He holds a BSc in Physics from MG University, Kerala, & a Masters in Computer Applications, Anna University,He is also an Alumnus of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Alappuzha, Kerala. From 2019 to 2022 & 2024 to 2025, he held the position of President & Secretary posts respectively at NOSAA (Navodaya Old Students Association Alappuzha), Kerala, & was actively involved in various social activities. Currently, he serves as the Advisory member of NOSAA & Executive member of UNMA.
