I am a senior at West Virginia University majoring in Sport Management with a minor in Hospitality and Tourism Management. When I first started college, I planned to work in sports event operations, including traveling with a team and coordinating travel, lodging, and logistics. Over time, I realized that I have a stronger passion for hotel operations.I currently work at the Courtyard Marriott in Morgantown as a Guest Service Agent, where I have gained hands-on experience in guest services, problem solving, and understanding how hotel departments work together to support daily operations. I am also participating in a rotational hotel operations internship, where I am gaining exposure across multiple departments to expand my operational knowledge and prepare for a long-term career in hospitality management.I am seeking a hotel management development or career training program after graduation. My goal is to grow within the hotel industry and build a long-term career in hotel management while continuing to deliver strong service and positive guest experiences.
