ABOUT DINO BOCCACCINI
He earned a Master\'s degree in Mechanical Engineering from UTN, San Rafael, Argentina, in 2003, and a Ph.D. in Materials Science from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Italy, in 2007. During this period, he also completed research stays at the University of Birmingham, School of Metallurgy (UK) and at Department of Materials, Imperial College London (UK). His professional journey commenced as a researcher with the Marazzi Group in Modena, Italy, spanning from 2007 to 2011. Transitioning into a specialized role from 2012 to 2015, he focused on the solid mechanics of fuel cells, serving as a Senior Scientist at DTU, Energy Conversion Department, Denmark. In 2015, he joined Petroceramics at Kilometro Rosso Technological Park in Bergamo, Italy, as a Senior Researcher, contributing expertise to the processing of ceramic composites, technical ceramics, CFRP, C-C composites, CMC development, and pressureless infiltrations.Since 2018, he has been Head of R&D at TecnoItalia Digital (System Ceramics SPA), overseeing industrial projects in the production of machinery for traditional and advanced ceramics. His expertise extends to the design of Drop-on-Demand (DOD) digital printers, as well as serving as a Project Manager for EU and international funding. He has successfully conceptualized, written, and coordinated multiple awarded grant applications. He has authored over 70 peer-reviewed academic articles and book chapters covering general materials science and technology topics, with more than 15 specifically published in the field of fuel cells. His contributions have also played a role in achieving several patents. He registered a patent of a printing head for composite material manufacturing at Petroceramics and another printhead patent for digital deposition of glazes at TecnoItalia Digital. As the founder of Resoh Solutions, he registered an European patent for a digital fuel cell manufacturing process. In 2018, he obtained the position of Independent Researcher from the National Council for Scientific and Technical Research (CONICET, Argentina) and in 2023 the Italian National Scientific Habilitation (ASN), attaining the title of Associate Professor in Materials Science and Technology. Currently he is a researcher of the \"Enzo Ferrari\" Engineering Department at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Italy.
