About Dinesh Prasad

I am a graduate student in the Master of City Design program at the University of Illinois at Chicago and an Architect registered with the Council of Architecture, India. As a person who loves traveling and exploring people, places, food, and culture all of these agglomerate in the public realm. The global diversity in the urban fabric that ties all of these key aspects intrigues me and I always look forward to actively investing myself in understanding socio-cultural relations through urban spaces. The urban realm that interests me is a comprehensive integration of urban planning, design, and architecture. Through my practice I put forth the perspective of an active social impact that is culturally rooted, and vernacular in principles while adapting to the contemporary market.

   Supported urban design, landscape, and transit infrastructure projects across Texas, contributing to corridor planning, public realm design, and mobility initiatives-Developed tree protection and mitigation plans, GIS-based mapping, conceptual visualizations, and technical landscape documentation-Collaborated with multidisciplinary teams including roadway, civil, traffic, and engineering to align design with infrastructure and regulatory requirements-Prepared graphics, exhibits, and visual materials for planning reports, public engagement, and project pursuits-Contributed to project deliverables for public sector clients including TxDOT, Capital Metro, and local agencies-Assisted in coordinating consultant inputs and integrating landscape and urban design strategies into corridor and transit projects.
