Dina Potter is Vice President of Social Impact at National Grid, one of the world’s largest publicly listed utilities. In her current role, Dina delivers impactful social impact and ESG strategies that create value for both society and business. Dina’s experience includes working closely with senior executives to align initiatives with organisational objectives to tackle complex societal challenges, from social mobility and employability to an inclusive energy transition, turning corporate ambition into meaningful, sustainable impact. Most recently, Dina led the development of a £50m Energy Support Fund, benefitting more than UK households. Dina also serves as co Executive Sponsor for NG’s ‘ONE’ Employee Resource Group where she provides strategic leadership, visibility, and advocacy for employee-led initiatives that advance equity, representation, and an inclusive workplace culture. With over 25 years of experience in the energy industry, Dina has led multimillion-pound social impact and business transformation programmes, mobilised cross-sector partnerships, and embedded robust governance and impact reporting frameworks. Backing up her efforts, the Cabinet Office quoted the Grid for Good work she led on behalf of National Grid as “industry leading”. Dina’s leadership across social impact has also featured in Utility Week, BBC Bitesize, HR Magazine, Edie, DiversityQ and City A M.
