Manages, supervises and coordinates the Rail Fleet Equipment quality management related engineering activities that are necessary to support the agency\'s capital projects and Vehicle Operation- Serves as the subject matter expert and is responsible for the oversight, development, and implementation of Rail Fleet Equipment quality management technical criteria necessary to support Fleet design, maintenance, and operational needs- Coordinates with staff or consultants to ensure assigned projects are delivered on time and within budget- Coordinates assigned activities with other disciplines and departments as necessary- Analyze survey reports, schematics, blueprints, maintenance manuals, and other data in the development of quality standards. Ensure consultants, engineers, and designers are following relevant federal state local and industry standards. Analyze and review the design requirements to ensure they match with MBTA\'s QA/QC specifications- Enforce QA/QC policies and identify possible quality and safety issues involving maintenance operations or capital project-related contractual requirements- Provide technical advice regarding Rail Fleet design, program modifications, and Fleet Rail Equipment maintenance- Review designs developed by engineering/consultant staff and participate in developing work scopes including technical design- Develop and implement standardized training QA/QC evaluation and disciplinary programs and procedures in close coordination with both Safety and Training
