About Dilum Aluthge
I am an MD/PhD student at Brown University. I will be applying to residency in internal medicine. I am a biomedical informatician. My research interests include learning health systems, electronic health records (EHR), health information exchange, clinical decision support (CDS), standards and interoperability, knowledge discovery, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and physiologic reserve. I also consult for PumasAI, and I am an active member of the open-source Julia Programming Language community.I earned my PhD in biomedical informatics and computational biology from Brown University, where I was advised by Indra Neil Sarkar and Elizabeth S. Chen. My PhD dissertation was titled \"Physiologic Reserve and Modular Learning Health Systems.\" During my PhD studies, I was awarded the Julia Community Prize for my \"contributions to community infrastructure and community building\" in the Julia Programming Language project.My PhD program was a joint program between the Brown Center for Biomedical Informatics (BCBI) and the Brown Center for Computational Molecular Biology (CCMB).I earned my Bachelor of Science in applied mathematics from Brown University. I graduated magna cum laude, and I was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
