Dillon Meilleur is a graduate of Algonquin College’s Water and Wastewater Technician program. He is currently working within the industry as a Water & Waste Compliance Coordinator with the Municipality of North Grenville. Dillon is well versed and knowledgeable in water treatment, water distribution, wastewater treatment and wastewater collection. Throughout his career Dillon has worked with several industry software programs including: SCADA, HES-RAS, EPANET, HydroCAD, and AgriSuite. He currently holds Level 2 licenses in Water Treatment and Wastewater Collection. Dillon also holds Level 1 licenses in Wastewater Treatment and Water Distribution. Throughout his early career Dillon learned about the intricacies of treating industrial water used for heating and cooling applications. He received hands on training and experience in the field, which has better prepared him for any role within the water and wastewater treatment industry. Applicable skills: • Currently holds Level 2 licenses in Water Treatment/Wastewater Collection and Level 1 licenses in Wastewater Treatment/Water Distribution • Obtained Entry-Level Course (ELC) for Drinking Water Operators certification in April 2019 • Possesses WHMIS 2018, Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG), Confined Space Entry, and Fall Protection certifications • Knowledge of water treatment & distribution • Knowledge of wastewater collection & treatment • Proficient in relevant software programs (Word, HES-RAS, EPANET, HydroCAD, AgriSuite, Progression Live) • Well-versed with the function of SCADA • Experienced in sampling and testing water/wastewater for specific parameters, e.g. pH, chlorine residual, turbidity, color, solids, conductivity, ORP, FAH, NOM, COD, BOD, etc. • Proficient in lab analysis • Knowledge of mechanical/electrical troubleshooting of small equipment • Confident working in a fast-pace environment • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Ability to work with a team or in an independent environment • Excellent planning and organization skills • Willingness to travel for work • Ability to work all hours of the day (on-call) • Comfortable working outside in extreme temperatures • Ability to lift heavy-loads • Possesses G-License, own vehicle and a clean driving abstract
