ABOUT DILLAN P.

After graduating with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1998, Dillan started his career as a \"Fast Track\"graduate for Drilling contractor Noble Drilling, during the time with Noble Dillan was involved in drilling operations on board the NTvL, the reactivation of the Tiffany Drilling Rig followed by three years working off the Dutch coast with the Al White jack up drilling unit. In 2004 Dillan was seconded into the Drilling Operations group for Chevron based in Aberdeen, this was the breakout opportunity to use the experience gained offshore along with the education gained. Moving to work directly for Chevron allowed Dillan to progress in well design, onsite drill site supervision and site management.In 2007 Dillan joined Talisman as a senior drilling engineer working with the Ocean Princess MODU, in 2008 Dillan moved into the Drilling Superintendent role for the Ocean Nomad MODU where he led the team to 4 first quartile wells. Dillan then led the wells team in a slot recovery operation for the Fulmar platform to allow the tie back of the Auk North subsea field.In 2010 Dillan commenced work in Peru, first as Drilling Superintendent then in 2011 as Engineering Manager, during this time the drilling execution performance has improved by over 100% in time and cost.In late 2012 Dillan moved to Calgary to take up the role of Drilling Manager for Canada, working to build strength with-in the D&C function for the multiple rig operations in Western Canada. Returning to Aberdeen in 2016 to deliver safe and efficient platform well abandonments in the UKCS.Dillan is married with two children, a keen curler, skier and golfer all of which are much easier to access in Canada!
