Launched our retail services business for third party retailers to open stores using our Just Walk Out (JWO) technology that allows customers to come in, take what they want, and just walk out (no lines, no checkout). Hudson Group, TD Garden, Compass, Delaware North, Climate Pledge Arena, United Center, Javits and many others are first customers using our services- Launched the Amazon Dash Cart (in Amazon Fresh grocery stores), a smart cart that allows customers to effortlessly skip the checkout line- Amazon One, a biometric identity and payment service that is available in several of our 1st party stores (Amazon Go/Amazon Fresh/Whole Foods). I have the privilege of building and leading an amazing team of technologists, product, business development/sales, operations, marketing, data science and computer vision scientists, hardware and software engineers, UX and industrial designers, manufacturing/supply chain, construction/real-estate, store associates, and security professionals responsible for building and operating our physical stores and services. It’s been a fascinating experience to build this organization with the team and I’m fortunate to have been associated with this clean sheet invention right from inception to launch.
