About Dila Perera
Twenty years ago, while in college, I became a health educator at a community AIDS foundation. That experience changed my life. As a social worker and a public health professional, I have dedicated my career to programs that improve the health of pregnant people, parents, and children. I believe in lasting solutions that build local capacity and ownership.

Open Arms’ mission is to provide community-based support during pregnancy, birth and early parenting to nurture strong foundations that last a lifetime.Open Arms Perinatal Services is an innovative nonprofit that is locally loved and nationally recognized for the unique high-quality perinatal services we provide. We have provided services to pregnant people and their families in the Puget Sound area since 1997. The time around the birth of a baby is a transformational time and is a tremendous opportunity to support families in getting the best start in life. The Open Arms Perinatal Services Outreach Doula Program is nationally accredited by HealthConnect One.
