About Richard Pose

Hi, my name is Richard, but most friends call me Dik Pose. I\'m a Director, Story Artist, and Storyteller who can most often be found working in the animation industry. My most recent animation job was co-directing the WB film,\"Urkel Saves Santa: The Movie!\" I\'m not only Emmy nominated for illustration work done on the 2011 \"Superheroes\" documentary, I also have a certificate saying I\'m an Emmy winner for being a storyboard artist on the winning \"Rick and Morty\" crew. But as everyone always says, it\'s an honor just to be nominated. Although I mostly work in animation, I am a visual artist who has always been drawn to Story, no matter the format. Nothing excites me more than the psychology of a story, a character, a scene, and figuring out how it all fits together; the puzzle of telling a satisfying story is a joy! But within animation, thanks to starting my career at a (then) small studio, I have experience with, and an understanding of, many positions within a studio. Those experiences has supplied me with a great overall view of an animation production pipeline. I am a first generation American, the son of Cuban and Spanish immigrants, a lover of baseball, good cuisine, and exploring the great outdoors.
