ABOUT GARETH PRESTON

I am a career driven security professional who consistently motivities himself and others to achieve. I believe that the role of the Security Officer is and always will be 1) The Protection of Life 2) The Protection of Premises and Property 3) The Prevention of Loss and Waste 4) The Prevention of Crime. Now I have learnt allot about my-self whilst working as Security Professional over the years. Likewise for me then I have also learnt allot when it comes to the training and development of other Security Professionals. For me then I have noticed that it is my systematic approach that is best for me to bring about the best development in others. I have found that if you use a systematic approach with regards to training. This then helps the trainer to \" identify \" those selected individual\'s who express northing other than a genuine interest in moving onto the next level of their Security Career. Therefore more time and resources can then be invested into the development of these people identified by the trainer. Speaking as a person who has now trained many Security Professionals now to date. Then I can honestly say that I am truly amazed at the speed and rate that some of these people do learn. However again, I do believe this is due to the trainer / manager applying a systematic approach towards these people in the first place, in order to \" identify them and then shortlist \" them for further investment into their development.
