At Present my role involves Managing multiple teams of highly commited and motivated statistical programmers and data managers, here at Cytel, who deal with complex data research assignments for our Biotech/Pharma Clients and help them with analysis, reporting and data management of clinical research data. My day to day job involves ensuring smooth running of operations, hiring efforts, people management, project management and ensuring Client Satisfaction. My present job role also involves closing skill gaps for programmers and making them project ready by identifying their training requirements and conduct (and coordinate) appropriate trainings for them. Since 2009, after completing Master of Science in Bioinformatics from Georgia Institute of Technology (aka #GeorgiaTech ), my work experience has been in the field of Statistical Programming for Analysis, Reporting and Tabulation of Data generated during Clinical Research of Biotechnology or Pharmaceutical product(s) of Therapeutic interest. This included Safety and Efficacy analysis and reporting of data ranging from all phases of clinical trials. Between 2010 until 2023 my nature of job used to be quite independent and I always had to take part in end to end activities with respect to bio-statistical programming required for supporting statistical analysis and reporting. My day to day activities required working closely with Bio-statistician(s), understand the statistical analysis and reporting requirements and eventually implement and deliver outputs by writing SAS programs. These programs re-arrange or reform the data (data manipulation, derivation and tabulation), analyze it, and finally present reports in the form of tables, listings and graphs(or figures). Interaction with Clinical Data management team may also be required at times in order to identify discrepancies and get them corrected. Presently I am managing multiple dedicated teams of highly commited people working on similar assignments. I also take keen interest in developing utility programs that help increase productivity in day to day tasks. One significant example of such a tool I developed is a tool for CDISC ADaM Automation and here is a link to the blog I have written on it I take keen interest in developing such utility tools/programs that can contribute to enhancing productivity. Provide Technical Leadership and hands on programming for improving productivity in general day to day tasks in the area of Statistical programming for supporting analysis and reporting. Supervise and mentor Team Members who support project related statistical programming tasks. Co-ordinate with the client POC for clarity of specifications, data issues, outliers, reviews, schedules, etc.8. Collect data for different metrics (project trackers, resource tracker and so on) and share it with Senior Leadership.9. Ensure adherence to compliance of standard operating procedures (SOPs) as defined in Quality Management System or the respective client(s) standards as applicable.10. Closing skill Gaps by identifying training needs and deploying them.
