Hi, I’m Diew Gatwech — I’m a sophomore at the University of Utah majoring in Finance. I’m a proud First Ascent Scholar, part of a selective cohort supported by a full-ride scholarship, and I’ve also earned Dean’s List honors for strong academic performance.My interests lie at the intersection of finance, strategy, and technology. I’ve explored these through business coursework, student organizations, and leadership roles — including serving as a Presidential Intern and as a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. These experiences have helped me develop key skills in financial analysis, problem solving, and collaboration, and have affirmed my interest in pursuing a career in finance. As a South Sudanese-American and first-generation college student, I bring a global perspective and a strong sense of purpose to everything I do.
