Dientes was started in 1992 by a few local private dentists who wanted to provide care for the low income population who had no other place to go. We operated at 3 different locations prior to consolidating our services in 2003 at our Commercial Way clinic. In our first full year at our current Santa Cruz location, we provided approximately dental visits. Due to moving to electronic health records in 2008, several building expansions and extending services to South County at the Watsonville Health & Dental Center we are now operating at full capacity providing annual visits.
