ABOUT DIEGO M. FERNANDEZ

Senior AI/ML Engineer at 66degrees. I am passionate about applying machine learning and forecasting techniques to drive impactful business value, empowering clients to make data-driven decisions. In my current role, I leverage my forecasting background to help my client deliver accurate forecasts to their customers, increasing the total number of customers and decreasing churn. In my prior role, I have utilized forecasting and machine learning to optimize user engagement, resource allocation, and supply chain efficiency for clients such as Meta and ACE Hardware, resulting in significant cost savings. I have been a data science, machine learning, and programming enthusiast for 9+ years, leveraging these skills for academic research in physics and biophysics at the University of Edinburgh. Additionally, I have developed novel machine learning approaches to semiconductor metrology at Onto Innovation, and supported research into high-energy physics and astronomy research groups at the University of Notre Dame. Beyond my professional pursuits, I actively engage in the data science community, fostering a love for continuous learning and collaboration.
